A thin blue line

straight down the right hand side of my laptop screen.

Google seems to suggest that it is a prominent problem in Toshiba machines. *Le sigh*

Time for a new laptop!

.....

HAHAHA!
Good one Amy, good one.

  1. Probably the little ribbon cable that connects the screen to the rest of the laptop. If the warranty is up you could try taking it to that guy beside the ymca. He'd probably be the most likely to try and replace the little cable instead of something drastic.

Can also try looking on line for replacement cables for your specific one and have a friendly geek pop your laptop apart and replace it for ya.

  2. I'm currently just ignoring it. Why fix today what you can put off until tomorrow, right?

But once it gets worse... Maybe a friendly geek could throw some extra ram into it too...

  3. If you leave it long, maybe you'll get a Blue Screen of Death on Vista... could bring back memories of the good old days.

  4. Oh, you are not having any luck with things that have to do with screens. First your Wii and now this.

  5. Shouldn't wait if it's the cable breaking. It might just stay one line, more lines might pop up. The main thing that can happen is if the cable shorts or something and fries your screen. Best to get it taken care asap.
